Hilary Swank at "Amelia" Movie Premiere in NYC

Fox held the movie premiere for "Amelia", starring Hilary Swank in Manhattan at the Paris theatre on 58th street, just off of Fifth Ave., and across from the Plaza Hotel. It was a beautiful night for the stars to celebrate this film about the pilot Ameila Earhart (1897-1937). Hillary looked radiant, and was a very down to earth. She loved the press, and the press loved her. There is a lot of buzz about this film, and suggesting that Hilary may get another Oscar nod. We certainly hope so. Photo, JoAnna Levenglick

The look for Fall and Winter 2009, and Spring 2010 is to wear a big bag. The bags come in many colors, but the natural colors rule. Beige, brown and black to name a few. David Letterman...How is he doing?

I don't need to tell the story about Mr Letterman, but what I am wondering is what you think of how he shared his story with his viewers? In my opinion, I think he did the right thing and nothing is better than honesty. He came forward with the story before there was more spin on it. His show is doing well with the news shared on his show and the loss of Leno of the old "Tonight Show." It is awful that Letterman had to deal with the shameful man who tried to extort money out of him and I raise my hat to Mr Letterman and look forward to watching more of his shows. Photo, CBS

Looking For a Great Dish? Try Fried Tomatoes.

This is the best time of the year to go to your local vegetable market and buy fresh tomatoes. They are considered a fruit since they have seeds, but most people do treat them as vegetable.
Putting them in salads and main courses is one way to use them. I must admit that I love fried tomatoes, and if you haven't tried them, that I highly suggest that you try preparing them. I find that when food is served hot it is much more filling and it will make you eat less. Let me know what you think.
